A Rich Tradition of “Sommerfrische” in Altaussee

Founded in 1996 by the Temel family, Camping Temel has been run by Līga and Stefan since 2012. Reviews and Experiences from Campers at Camping Temel Altausee

What Guests Say About Their Stay at Camping Temel

Travelers frequently praise the cleanliness, calm surroundings, and the personal touch provided by the hosts. Many describe the location as peaceful yet central for exploring the lakes and mountains nearby.

Great spot, 10 minutes from the lake by foot. You can order fresh bread, milk, or other stuff for each morning. One downside is that there are only two bathrooms for each sex. And really no place to hide when raining. People running the place are really nice.

Very nice campsite and quite a big area. Extremely clean and tidy bathrooms and showers free to use. Staff girl, who is Latvian BTW, was super friendly and offered us freshly baked bread for the next morning. We tried to come back a couple of days later, and there was no spot, so better call and reserve in advance. No kitchen, tho.

Best Time to Visit Altaussee for a Camping Holiday

The ideal time to visit is between May and September. July and August are best for lake activities, while June and September bring fewer tourists and milder temperatures.
